DESCRIPTION: \nDu 6 Septembre au 28 Octobre : Chaource – Exposition de Philippe Richier, au Bureau d’information Touristique.\n« Philippe Richier est né dans le Bordelais et à ses vingt ans, a choisi de s’installer à Troyes où il a découvert neuf ans plus tard, la peinture. Il a fait la connaissance de nombreux peintres Aubois tels que Philippe Desmonts, Patrick Léon et Guy Péqueux.\nLes influences de Philippe RICHIER sont principalement André Lanskoy, Vassily Kandinsky, Scott Sinclair et Jackson Pollock.\nIl aime mélanger les techniques. Il utilise le pastel, l’acrylique et compose ses toiles avec du collage (affiches, photos, objets), et du *« dripping ».\nLe « rock garage » des années 70 à 90 qu’il affectionne particulièrement, l’inspire dans son travail et l’engage dans des palettes parfois très colorées ou très sombres. Sur des fonds noirs, sont apposées des variations géométriques où le blanc, le gris et le rouge émergent.\nTraduisant sa gestuelle, ses variations, rythmées par la répétition, proposent des successions de lignes, de traits et de formes géométriques parfois rehaussées par du collage ou du *« dripping » . Sur des fonds texturés ou translucides, parfois réalisés au couteau, tout un univers graphique apparaît.\nDans certains tableaux, des esquisses de paysages où l’on pourrait voir le désert et des exploitations pétrolières, se mêlent dans d’intenses couleurs comme le rouge, le bleu et l’ocre. Souvent, une idée d’horizontalité s’installe surmontée de verticalités plus aériennes, parfois cruciformes. L’œuvre de Philippe RICHIER est étonnante dans son graphisme et le choix de ses couleurs.
